you're here in new york for the united nations general assembly. i want to talk to you about president obama, because he's come to new york today. it's obviously a big day for him and the assembly. he's chosen today to announce his attack now on the financial crisis in america. which is to tax the rich in a much heavier way. what is your reaction to that as a world leader? >> as prime minister of norway, i fully understand it. compared to, perhaps norway, rich people pay much less taxes in the u.s. than in norway. >> what is the comparative taxation? >> in norway, the average tax on people earning more than 1 million will be around 50% or something. >> so significantly higher? >> yeah. >> so i understand that there has to be a balance. i think everyone understands there has to be a balance between income and expenditures. when you have a deficit, you need to reduce expenditures. at the same time, it may be a good idea to increase income. and those who have most, who most probably also contribute a bit more than they do today. >> how kenned are you
